The palaces, cas­tles and fortresses in the Lusa­t­ian Lake­land pro­vide insights into the region’s fas­ci­nat­ing his­tory and take you on excit­ing adven­tures into the past.

Lusa­tia is a region with a rich cul­tural his­tory that spans sev­eral cen­turies and was shaped by alter­nat­ing peri­ods of Pruss­ian and Saxon dom­i­nance. Cul­tural ref­er­ences are still vis­i­ble in build­ings such as Sen­ften­berg Fortress or the res­i­dences in Sprem­berg and Hoy­er­swerda and have been care­fully illus­trated and explained for vis­i­tors in the cor­re­spond­ing muse­ums.
