iba-aktiv-tours

Visitors are encouraged to explore the magnificent Lusatian Lake District with the tour operator iba-aktiv-tours. They are introduced to each stage of the flooding process from surface mining to the finished bathing lake on guided tours and tours with expert guest guides. They also learn how the largest man-made lake landscape is being created from the former mining region. Visitors will experience the landscape transformation in the region in a kind of time-lapse on guided tours: new lakes, navigable canals, floating houses, town marinas, operational surface mining and industrial culture. The guided tours are either on foot, by bicycle, by minibus or on the Seeschlange road train.

• "From miner to sailor": round trip in a minibus to the active Welzow open-cast mine and the changing landscape, duration: 3 hours, several times a week

• Lusatian Lakeland jaunt: guided minibus tour of the highlights of the Lakeland, duration: 2 Hours, several times a month
• Lusatia wine country: evening gourmet tour through new landscapes, duration: approx. 3.5 hours, several times a month, on saturdays

• Phönix Spritztour: Combined tour to the highlights of the Lakeland by minibus and excursion boat ‘MS Santa Barbara’ on Lake Senftenberg, duration: 4 hours, dates from May to October several times a month, Sundays
